DirecTV to Appeal Nexstar Ruling on Antitrust Case
DirecTV has informed the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York that it plans to appeal the court’s March 20 decision granting Nexstar’s motion to dismiss the pay TV’s antitrust challenge.

Add DirecTV-Cox Media Group to your retrans bingo cards in the lead up to Super Bowl Sunday. CMG, which has been dark on DISH for more than a year, began warning viewers late Thursday that DirecTV and U-verse customers could lose its stations on Feb 2.

DirecTV, Nexstar Get Multi-Year Deal Done
DirecTV and Nexstar announced that they’ve finalized a new retransmission consent agreement covering 176 Nexstar-owned stations. Cable net NewsNation also has been renewed. The stations were returned to DirecTV customers Sunday on a temporary basis while the two negotiated.

Another DirecTV, Nexstar Spat
The DirecTV-Nexstar feuding just doesn’t stop. While the two are embroiled in a separate retransmission dispute, the Supreme Court of New York found that Nexstar forced DirecTV to pay a Big Four affiliate fee for a station that lost its affiliation during their previous retransmission agreement cycle.
